Our Little Princess

Update: She slept in her bed on Sat. and Sun. night when daddy was home. Then last night (Monday) when he went back to work she slept in her castle again. She ended up crawling in our bed sometime after he got home from work though. Shhh....don't tell anyone we let her crawl in our bed and stay. We usually try to discourage this but didn't last night. She was just too sweet. I know this isn't a good idea because some habits are easier to break before the start and way too hard to break after they've started. She doesn't start out in our bed though. I guess that is a plus.

Our little princess has decided since daddy works nights she is now going to sleep in her own little castle. Daddy has put her to bed each night for as long as I can remember. Now he obviously can't do that and she says "I miss my daddy" every night before she goes to bed. I makes me soooo sad. But I'm wondering if this is her way of dealing with it. Because now she doesn't have to go to "bed" without daddy. She gets in her little castle on a pallet on the floor and goes to sleep instead. Although this makes me kind of sad it makes me kind of happy too. Some adults have a hard time finding ways to cope when things go wrong. So if she can find her own little way of dealing with this tuff time she is going through for now I am very proud of her. Please keep us in mind in your prayers. Sometimes it's hard to put my babies to bed without their daddy being home. But I know that God is good and he works all things out for our good. We will be fine and things are not as near as bad as they could be. This is just a faze we will have to go through for now.

Dr. Suess' Horton Hears A Who! Now @ IHOP

Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears A Who!
Jo-jo's Kid's Breakfast
3-mini "Who-Cakes," a pink lollipop,
With boysenberry, blueberry glazes on top,
Chocolate chip sprinkles, make them taste so grand,
Not to mention they're served with "Green Eggs and Ham"
(one egg and creamed spinach all scrambled for you,
with just one strip of ham)-a feast fit for a "Who!"
Our little who (Isabelle) sure enjoyed your breakfast Friday morning. We go out on Friday night sometimes for dinner. But since I didn't need to do the lunch at FCA because of the field trip we decided to go out for breakfast instead. We went to IHOP and got out "little" bellys filled to the top. It was oh so good and Isabelle really liked her little unique meal. It was only $3.99 if your little ones would like to have green eggs and ham.

Feel good moment

As most of you know I used to work at Head Start as a preschool teacher. I now am working for J and S Rentals until Elizebeth can get here to take over. A handsome young man came in with his mother to translate for her. I thought I recognized his mother but wasn't quite sure so I didn't say anything. I did however ask him what grade he is in. He told me eighth grade. He said "Do you remember me?" I told Him no and asked him if he remembered me. He said yes from Head Start. He said I had him and his sister in my class. It dawned on me who they were. I was so excited to see him. He was very handsome and very tall....like really tall...like basketball player tall. It made me feel good to see how well he was doing. And that he remembered me....that must mean I left some sort of a good impression on at least one of my students.

Ps. It was always my prayer that the children would see Christ through me. That why this was so encouraging.

Please pray for us!

We knew when Matt got his new job there was a good possibility that he would have to work nights for a while. Well he has been there for quite some time now and got hired in on days. So we have been thanking God for this great blessing. But they called him into the office yesterday and told him starting tonight he would be on second shift. (And yes we are still thanking God for his many blessings of getting Matt the job, we have insurance, taxes are taken out of his check, and he got to work days as long as he has.) Now I know this is not the end of the world as we know it but it is kind of the end of family time as we know it. He has to be in to work by 4:30 pm. Which means he leaves us at 4:00pm and doesn't get home until after 1:00am. That means I will be a single mom and he won't get to see the kids at all except from 3:00pm to 4:00 pm every night on Monday, Tuesday, Thurs, and Friday. He will see them from 12:30 pm to 4:00pm on Wed. and on the weekends. But really he will only have Cody every other weekend. I don't know about the rest of you but my kids need their daddy. This is not good for any of my kids but exspecially not good for Cody. He really need that male figure in his life. Soooo........Please pray that God works this out for his good. I would love for Matt to get to go back on days of course but even if that does not happen we need God to help us continue to be a close happy family beyond these circumstances. However, I know it would be a very small matter for God to put him back on days if that is his will.
