Meeting Pork Chop

Kristi and Andy invited us out for supper last night. We had a great time visiting them and the fajitas were wonderful. But I think their real motive was........for us to meet Pork Chop......their new pot belly pig. LOL.
And I must say as far as pigs go....he is a cute little pig. (If a pig can be cute.) But I don't think I'm as much in love with him as they are. LOL. I don't really think I'm much of an animal person at all though we do have a cat and dog ourselves. Matt loves all animals so he probably thought the little thing was cute as can be....cause he's a weirdo...but don't tell him I said so...LOL. However, for me there is just something wrong with having a pet pig in your house.
I am not criticizing them. Lots of people love their little pot belly pig and live just fine with their little friend in their house. It's just not the pet for me. Andy and Kristi's kids love animals and has had more pets then you can count...they love them all...from the little mouse to the three or four baby raccoons they had to their "cute" little pig and dog and two cats they have now. Maybe one of these days one of their kids will grow up to be a vet or something. Time will only tell.
Anyway we really did have a good visit with them and hope their pet works out for them.
Mikaila, Matt and Isabelle....Oh and Pork Chop a.k.a. Porky
Mikaila just loves Pork Chop and really didn't want to put him down or let anyone else hold him. But it is her birthday present so maybe that has a lot to do with it.....:)

Basketball: Our Boys...

Okay, Our boys will probably never be professional basketball players but they sure are having fun playing.
Austin is playing on the school team and they are improving every game they play. I think sometimes they feel defeated because they don't go out and win every game but most of the kids on his team have grown up in Christian day schools and they have just recently formed a team. I think they are doing great....but of course I am the mom. :) Anyway they just recently won a game and Austin come home still disappointed. I asked him why and he said because they "should have" beat them by more. So there you have it you just can't please a teenager......LOL.

Cody is loving playing ball at the Local Boys N Girls club. They have played two games so far this year. Cody shot a basket both games to help his team score but they haven't won a game yet. He still walks out happy as can be win or lose. They still have several games so I'm sure they will win a few. But I'm kind of glad he doesn't really care is he wins or loses. He's just out there to have fun and that is what is important to me.

I have posted a few pictures below. But I haven't wanted to lug around our big ol' camera...so the quality of the pics are not too good. Maybe before the season is over I can get a few good ones....or maybe not...LOL.

Isabelle's "Perfect" Face: Six Days Later

Yesterday, Isabelle's face looked like this. Thinking that it was healing way quicker then we thought it would....We still never expected what her face looks like today. She woke up this morning and for some reason scratched over the top of her scab. And as she did part of it came off clean as can be. She was so happy about how nice it looked she decided to try to get the rest of it off. So......she did.....it just pealed away like a mask....and she was so happy to tell me her face is "perfect" again. I don't believe there will be any scaring either."Don't worry about anything: instead, pray about EVERYTHING. Tell God what you need, and THANK Him for all He has done." Philippians 4:6 NLT

Okay, sometimes I'm not so good at the not worrying part (until I realize there is nothing I can do about it anyway)....But I do give God the glory for the so many blessings I have in my life....no matter how great and small......and His healing Isabelle's face so perfectly is truly a blessing to me.
