Skating during Spring Break 2011

Some friends parents from school planned a day to rent the skating rink for a couple hours during spring break. A lot of the school kids came to skate. We were so glad they invited us to come and skate too!

Isabelle with a couple of her friends. There were so many kids there.........It was a lot of fun.........even for this old lady..........but you will just have to imagine that one....cause I can't take photos of myself.........LOL.

Zoo on Spring Break 2011

Matt had to work during spring break so we were not going anywhere....But we still wanted to do some fun things. So one of the things we got to do was go to the zoo. We had fun but it was rather cold out and no very many of the animals were out that day either. (Maybe they were smarter then we were. LOL) Anyhow here are a few of the pictures we took at he zoo.
The dolphin show is always pretty neat to watch.

Belly getting her picture "with" the polar bear. I used to love the polar bear when I was a little girl. But it seems every time we go to the zoo now the silly thing is sleeping. So I was totally impressed that he was even up walking around....I would have loved to watch him swim. But I guess he doesn't really care what I want....:)
The seals were very active........and fun to watch!

One of the highlights for us going to the zoo is getting to pet the baby sharks. It's pretty neat when it's not too busy they will come right up to the side and let you pet them.




The penguin tank is pretty neat too!
They have a new area for bats but I didn't get any pictures of them. However I did catch a photo of this rather large bat.........she goes by the name of Isabelle.

The desert area is not my favorite but the lizards are kind of unique and neat.

Love the spots on the giraffe....The creativity of God the Creator....Wow!

The best looking animal in the whole zoo.....:) This one goes by the name of...Matt!
Love the stripes on the zebra too.....and the spots on the leopard.....all so unique and wonderfully made.

The huge elephant with her baby was so cute....If an elephant can really be cute.

We walked over to check out the White River Gardens (I think that's what it's called.) Amazing beauty there......

I just loved how pretty all the flowers were.
It was definitely a cold day but it was a great day together..I love my family!

Isabelle's 8th Birthday Party

Isabelle had her 8th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. It was a lot of fun...even for us old people. :)The party was supposed to be two hours long but ended up being more like three hours. When you first get there is "Play Time."

Meet and greet with your hostess as she takes the orders and gives the kids their tokens. Yea!
Lots of time for playing games!!! The girls were so excited to play a bunch of the games.
She liked this game a lot....played it several times in a row.

Raina wanted to play the big kid games....she coudn't hardly reach the pedals. :) Oh well she had fun and that is all that mattered.
Chuck E. Cheese forms a parade line walking through the restaurant saying, "Follow Chuck E. for free tickets." All the kids get in a big line and when they get to the front of the restaurant they do a little dance following Chuck E.'s lead.Raina, Isabelle, Kendra, and Kailey doing the dance. :) After they got done they got down on the floor on their knees and Chuck E. throws tickets up in the air. They could get as many tickets as they could off the floor the only condition is they had to stay on their knees.

Isabelle's Ticket Blaster experience......

She ain't no dumby....instead of grabbing for the ones flying in the air she emediately bent down and grabbed the big pile laying at the bottom of the ticket blaster.........Ha Ha.


So much fun!!!
I think she was pretty happy with how well she did in the Ticket Blaster!!!
